Girls Leading the Change

Donors and partners: Malala Fund

Objective: Addressing barriers to girls’ education and movement building in Lebanon by accelerating their organizational and leadership skills and ensuring their access to resources and support networks.

Key Activities:

FEMALE’s activities within this project include:

  • Mapping of formal and non-formal young women and girl-led groups working with girls under the age of 24 all over Lebanon;
  • Designing and implementing an inclusive capacity development program targeting young women and girl-led groups that entails topics like: leadership and communication, digital media and advocacy literacy, an introduction to local and global women’s rights and feminism, negotiation skills, fundraising and proposal writing, English communication skills, creative activism and use of arts, working with media, governance, laws and policies…
  • Promoting the role and work of young women and girl-led groups through networking activities and production of digital media promotional content;

Ensuring the ownership, agency, and growth of the groups through providing them with access to sub-granting and seed funding.
