We Carried Our Mothers With Us documents the South–South Feminist Solidarity Meeting held in São Paulo in January 2025, where 35 feminist activists from SWANA and Latin America & the Caribbean gathered to confront the geopolitical forces shaping sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in their regions. Organized by FEMALE and Sukuamis, with Oxfam’s regional teams in Brazil, SWANA, and LAC, the meeting was rooted in ritual, testimony, and decolonial feminist practice. This publication weaves together stories of resistance from occupation and criminalization to underground networks of care offering a living roadmap for cross-regional feminist solidarity grounded in the Global South.

Llevamos a Nuestras Madres con Nosotras documenta el Encuentro de Solidaridad Feminista Sur–Sur celebrado en São Paulo en enero de 2025, donde 35 activistas feministas de SWANA y América Latina y el Caribe se reunieron para confrontar las fuerzas geopolíticas que moldean la salud y los derechos sexuales y reproductivos (SRHR) en sus regiones. El encuentro fue organizado por FEMALE y Sukuamis, junto con los equipos regionales de Oxfam en Brasil, SWANA y LAC, y estuvo arraigado en el ritual, el testimonio y la práctica feminista decolonial. Esta publicación teje historias de resistencia — desde la ocupación y la criminalización hasta redes clandestinas de cuidado — ofreciendo una hoja de ruta viva para una solidaridad feminista transregional desde el Sur Global.
