Several burdens are weighing down the country, and while people are trying to maintain a certain level of resilience, young women and girls are definitely the most affected by the simultaneous unfortunate events, caring for themselves and their families at the same time. Consulting with experts, Fe-Male planned to engage these women and girls in activities that would help them deal with the bad stuff and with emotions like anger and sadness in addition to helping them face some unpleasant aspects of what occurred with the goal of overcoming them.

During the event, the community was introduced to the activities and all women and girls were able to express themselves where they also signed up to participate in future intensive sessions. The activities will namely be healing sessions through arts and sports.

October 12, 2020 was a very special day for women and girls in the traumatized area. They were exceptionally exuberant and felt a caring touch being passed to them. “I have been waiting for this day for a week now, since you disseminated the flyers, and I can’t wait to bring my little sister and meet you in a couple of hours!” Said the twelve-year old girl, while passing by the field at the time of preparation. There was a great sense of enthusiasm that was vastly expressed throughout the event.
